Above ground pool accessories FAQs

I HAVE AN ABOVE GROUND POOL, HOW WOULD YOU RECOMMEND I HEAT THE WATER?
A great way to heat your above ground pool is with solar power. A solar cover is a cheap and effective way to raise the overall temperature of the water. You can expect the temperature of the water to rise by 10 to 15 degrees Fahrenheit. All you have to do is put the solar cover over your pool when you are not using it and the heat from the sun will be transferred to the water. A solar cover will also keep the heat in the water at night, so you don’t waste the collected heat. Not only will your cover do all of this, but it will also keep your water cleaner by protecting it from falling debris and leaves.

THE WATER IN THE POOL STINGS MY EYES WHEN I SWIM IN IT, HOW DO I GET RID OF THIS?
Contrary to popular opinion, it is not the chlorine in the water that stings your eyes it is actually the pH level. The pH level of a pool should be between 7.2 and 7.6 any higher and it will sting your eyes and irritate your skin and also make the chlorine in the water less effective. Buy a pH test kit to assess the levels of your water and then a pH increaser or decreaser depending on the results of your test kit.
